The HAL Studios x Gel-1130 "Birch" is a collaboration by the Australian creative agency and on a colorway of the retro running shoe. A part of the Australian retailer Highs & Lows, HAL Studios is led by Matthew Thomas and John Bouquet. The designers give the Gel-1130 a minimalist, lifestyle-focused update on the “Birch” colorway. The upper has a cream-colored open-cell mesh base with tonal suede and black leather overlays. The translucent tabs on the heels read “HAL” on the left shoe and “STUDIOS” on the right shoe.
